In this advanced camp, youth will immerse themselves in the great outdoors through activities like canoeing/kayaking, hiking, fishing, and camping.
The adventure includes an offsite overnight at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, where campers will cook campfire meals, share stories around a bonfire, and experience tent camping.
This hands-on experience fosters outdoor skills, teamwork, and a deeper connection with nature.
Day 1:
- Dropoff/pickup Nahant Marsh 9am-3pm
- Bring cold lunch, snacks provided
Day 2:
- Dropoff at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve
by 9:30 am
- Bring cold lunch, snacks & dinner provided
- Must bring sleeping setup (sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, etc); Tents provided
Day 3:
Pickup at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve at 10am
- Breakfast provided
Wilderness Experience Camp is for campers entering grades 7 - 9.

Important Camp Info
Camps are first come, first served.
- Online payment is required in order to reserve your child's spot in camp. Refunds will not be issued after May 12.
- Inclement weather: Activities will be conducted indoors if there is inclement weather. Please dress for the weather.
- Children will need to bring a sack lunch during day-long camps.
- Pre-packaged snacks will be offered twice a day for day-long camps and once for half-day camps.
- Each day children will need to pack a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat or sunglasses, and a change of clothes or swimsuit for water games.
- Prior to the first day of camp, parents/guardians will be emailed a detailed letter with any pertinent info regarding the camp your child is registered for.
